Terms of Use

1. About LingoPT

LingoPT is a free demo project, currently in beta. It's provided to showcase and test the app. It is not a commercial service, and there's no charge to use it.

2. Who can use LingoPT

You must be 13 or older to use LingoPT.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure, and only use your own account. You're responsible for activity on your account.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• break the law or use LingoPT to create abusive, hateful or harmful content;
• try to disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer LingoPT, or get around its usage limits (for example with scripts or multiple accounts);
• use LingoPT for anything other than language practice.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

5. AI-generated content

Exercises, corrections, scores, feedback and audio in LingoPT are generated by AI. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or unnatural. Use them as practice, not as an authoritative source, and don't rely on them where accuracy matters.

6. Availability and changes

LingoPT is provided “as is” and “as available” during its beta. We may change features, apply usage limits, pause the service, or shut it down at any time. We'll try to give notice before shutting it down, but we can't guarantee it.

7. Your content

You own what you type into LingoPT. You give us permission to store and process it, including sending it to our AI provider, only so we can run LingoPT for you. Our Privacy Policy explains how.

8. Our content

LingoPT's design, code and branding belong to DeveloperJay.

9. Liability

As LingoPT is free and in beta, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on AI-generated content, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using LingoPT at any time. To delete your account and data, email admin@lingopt.com. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date. If you keep using LingoPT after that, you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your home nation.
